As natural behind an easel as he is on stage, Ronnie Wood has maintained a long-lasting relationship with the San Francisco Art Exchange (SFAE). His oil paintings, charcoal drawings, woodcuts, lithographs, etchings and dry points include portraits of such legendary performers as Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, Jim Morrison, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, Keith Moon, Madonna, and of course his bandmates. Naturally, this is a big part of the appeal of Ronnie's work - his depiction of so many extraordinary people he has known and loved, particularly the band that he has played in for over thirty years. However, first and foremost, it's the craft that collectors and critics keep returning to, the way he captures so vibrantly, and vividly, the world that he sees every day. Ronnie is famous for his warmth and humor, and this carries over into his art, where his subjects are often depicted in the same radiance.
